Dry needling is a therapeutic technique where thin needles are inserted into muscle trigger points to relieve pain and improve muscle function.   The physiological effect of Dry Needling results in local tension release, improving blood flow, and stimulating the body’s natural healing process (without injecting any substances).

Neck and back pain is commonly experienced and is treated through a neuromusculoskeletal approach. Treatment of the surrounding muscles, joints and neural structures address the system as a whole to resolve pain and dysfunction.

Sports Injuries as a result of overuse and/or training are treated by hands on treatment of the musculature, joints and soft tissue affected.  A biomechanical assessment will help to establish the cause of the dysfunction.  To ensure effective long-term management this treatment is coupled with specific rehabilitative exercises.

Headaches originating from the neck is effectively treated through manual therapy techniques, exercises and posture correction.

Sinus treatment includes dry needling in conjunction with ultrasound and laser to improve sinus drainage and headache symptoms.

Cracked nipples refer to painful fissures or breaks in the skin of the nipple and areola, commonly experienced by breastfeeding mothers, causing significant discomfort and difficulty breastfeeding.  Treatment consists of laser treatment  as well as ensuring proper latch during breastfeeding. 

Laser is a non-invasive treatment that is typically painless and help reduce inflammation, promote / speed up tissue healing, and provide relief from discomfort, allowing breastfeeding to continue more comfortably.

Joint pain refers to discomfort, soreness, or stiffness in the joints, which can arise from various causes such as injury, inflammation, or degenerative conditions like arthritis.  Treatment may include targeted exercises to strengthen muscles around the affected joint, manual therapy techniques to improve mobility and reduce stiffness, modalities to alleviate pain and inflammation, as well as education on proper joint mechanics and posture.

Chest physiotherapy assist with preventing and treating various chest infections. It helps clear the airways of excess secretions associated with pneumonias, bronchitis, COPD, cystic fibrosis and other chronic lung conditions.  A combination of nebulization, percussion, vibration and breathing exercises can help improve the comfort and effectiveness of breathing.

Post-operative rehabilitation aims to restore function and mobility in individuals after surgery.  Treatment includes exercises to improve strength, flexibility and range of motion.  Additionally, manual therapy techniques are used to address scar tissue and promote healing.  To ensure continuity of care, a personalized home program is compiled for the patient and the type of surgery they underwent.

Neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injuries are treated to improve mobility, balance, coordination, and independence.

Geriatric rehabilitation focuses on improving the health and function of elderly individuals, addressing issues such as mobility limitations, balance problems, and age-related conditions. It  involves exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance, as well as strategies to enhance mobility and independence in daily activities.
